Hi, I’m Ana Dorantes, a self-taught Mexican artist living by the Chesapeake Bay.My studio, Xiumextli Colores Studio, was born from my admiration for nature and my love for the blend of my heritage with the culture of the Chesapeake Bay.I work with watercolor, cyanotype, printmaking, and collage, seeking to capture the harmony between water, light, and the memories of the places that inspire me.Through my art, I share a dialogue between two worlds: the warmth of memories from my homeland and the light of the Bay that inspires me....
